It doesn't count if you kill them in VR :)

The fantastic lineart comes from ~alaisiaga -- coloring is mine, done in Photoshop, and took about two days. The blood splatters actually were the biggest pain, apart from the background, since I was messing around with red brick walls, starry night time skies, and pretty much everything I could think of before I gave up and decided to make it plain grey painted strokes.

I'm having a lot of fun removing the lineart so that I can check out how the artwork looks without it. It helps me see how well the colors look and if I'm shading properly.

Con crit and feedback is appreciated!

What an awesome find to be able to colour. And, I admit, I thought, "Hey! It's an AU Fickle!" - y'know, kicking butt, sharp nails, the long hair? Totally. Love, once again, how you colour - a real knack for it and picking up on things as you go along. Very awesome, I say.

XDD YES! You saw it was me! I totally was drawing it as an ideal version of me -- the long braid I used to have, the green eyes I'd love to have, and the total happy kicking of ass. I didn't want to SAY that in the artist's comments, because it sounds so self-centered, but I totally did it with myself in mind. XDD And thanks for noticing that I try to improve with every piece I do. Or at least try out something new every time I do something -- backgrounds, reducing the opacity of lineart, weird light souces, etc.

XD Yes! Seriously, it was my first thought besides how well done it looks! And I remember your hair being long and the athletic-type-girl here? C'mon.

Still going to aim for those green contacts, are you?

XDD nothing wrong with having real life inspiration (even yourself) AND it looking so good like that.

It's noticeable that you improve and that you try new things and such - so why not note it? ^_~

You're welcome :)

Awwww, I'm glad you liked it! It was a pleasure to work with -- you had really clean lines, and the pose was much more dynamic than most lineart, which tends to just have pretty girls in pretty dresses in semi-sexy poses. I loved your lineart since it was such an action shot, and it gave me a chance to try shading from different angles than the standard profile or full-on view.

...I handshaded the blood by zooming WAY in and working patiently, so thank you for complimenting it. It was a pain and a half! But I'm totally pleased you like it. Thanks for the fav and for supplying the lineart to work with!

 thank you so much! especially because that pose took so long to work out right, lol. X3

ooh. see, that's why i've been submitting more linearts than colors to the club lately... i don't have the patience. ^^; so even more kudos for that!

and you're very welcome. ^^
